Adams County, Burne & Geneva
- Must have a valid driver’s license. - Must carry insurance/ financial responsibility on the golf cart. - Must display a slow-moving vehicle emblem. - Must display a red or amber flashing light at the rear of the golf cart. - Flashing light must be visible from not less than 500 feet away. - May only be operated during daylight hours, unless equipped with the following: - Must be equipped with at least two permanently mounted headlights. - Must have passengers seated in manufacturer’s installed seats. - Must comply with all state and local traffic laws. - Golf carts cannot be operated on state highways per state statute. (except to cross).
Bluffton
- Must have a valid driver’s license. - Must be registered with the local police department, this includes a fee. - Must be inspected by the local police department for compliance. - Must always display registration certificate/sticker on the golf cart. - Must carry insurance/ financial responsibility on the golf cart. - Must display a slow-moving vehicle emblem, OR - Must have a high visibility flag that is at at least (60) sixty square inches - Flag must be orange, yellow, green or red in color. - Must have headlights, taillights, and brake lights. - Must have passengers seated in manufacturer’s installed seats. - Must comply with all state and local traffic laws. - Golf carts cannot be operated on state highways per state statute. Lake County, Cedar Lake
- Must have a valid driver’s license. - Must be registered with the local police department, this includes a fee. - Must always display registration certificate/sticker on the golf cart. - Must carry insurance/ financial responsibility on the golf cart. - Must display a slow-moving vehicle emblem AND/OR - Must display a red or amber flashing light at the rear of the golf cart. - May only be operated during daylight hours, unless equipped with the following: - Must be equipped with at least two permanently mounted headlights, taillights, and turn signals. - Must comply with and follow state and local traffic laws. - Must have passengers seated in manufacturer’s installed seats. - Must comply with and follow state and local traffic laws. - Golf carts cannot be operated on state highways per state statute. Columbia City
- Must have a valid driver's license. - Must be registered with the local police department, this includes a fee. - Must be inspected by the local police department for compliance. - Must always display registration certificate/sticker on the golf cart. - Must carry insurance/ financial responsibility on the golf cart. - Must have a slow-moving vehicle emblem - Must have two headlights, two taillights, front and rear turn signals, and rear brake lights.
